Workshops to Strengthen Urban Agriculture Entrepreneurship

Two workshops were recently organized to improve the organizational capacities of RUAF-From Seed to Table beneficiaries. The workshops, which were held in Yakkala, Gampaha, focused on membership benefits of the Gampaha Urban Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development Association. Participants conducted a SWOC (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Challenges) analysis of the association and actively participated in the activities. Group leaders and sub-leaders participated in the workshop on the first day, while all members were invited to the second day. Topics covered included expected services from the association, marketing products and promotions, savings and loans, and coordinating technical services. Mrs. Chintha Munasinghe, Advisor of SEEDS – Sarvodaya movement, participated as the resource person.
